A gorgeous trend we will see a lot this spring and summer is the Garden Goddess wedding. It is simple, vintage inspired, ethereal and uses the very best of nature’s elements to create a stunning celebration of love. Think beige, soft pinks, shades of green and minimal pops of color. Think mountaintop, forest or city park. The bride that chooses this theme is usually a more whimsical, nature loving gal who appreciates the simplicity and beauty of everything around her and doesn’t feel the need to take away from it. And the best part of course is the hair! This bride loves flowers, loose, romantic curls, braids and soft, up-swept styles.
1. Sara Gabriel Headpieces: I always picture a bride with this wedding theme wearing flowers in her hair. And even better? Headbands with flowers and crystals! I had the pleasure of seeing several of Miss Gabriel’s pieces during a trunk show recently at Blue Bridal and I have to say.. they are AMAZING in person! And what I love about these particular pieces shown above is the way they are truly an accent to the bride’s dress and hairstyle, but not competing with them. And the crystals add just a touch of glam to whole look.
2. Gardens Of Whimsy Floral Crown: There is something to be said, though for a loud, fun, whimsical floral crown. The bigger the better! I would love to see this gorgeous piece on a bride with loose curls and a simple dress to truly let it take center stage. And that stunning red hair on the model wearing this crown? So amazing!
3. Melissa Sweet Collection: The Melissa Sweet line is perfect for the Garden Goddess bride and this particular gown is one of my faves from her current collection for David’s Bridal. It’s sweet, romantic, textured, but still incredibly sexy.
4. Garden Accents From A Vintage Affair: I love this “Rustic Garden Wedding” from Jessica Hearing of A Vintage Affair. The burlap, the bulbs strung through the trees and the wildflowers create such a breathtaking setting. I also love that this wedding could literally take place in the mountains of Colorado, the beaches of the Oregon coast or the backyard of a close friend in Kansas. And bonus: A Vintage Affair Rentals is a preferred Colorado vendor of HAIR | with kate!
